About Us

Somerville Equine is located in Grand Junction Colorado.

We are a 3 Generation family with 30 plus years in the

Horse industry. We breed Quarter and Paint Horses.

At our home in Grand Junction we keep the brood Mare's

and foals, and rehab horse's, and our Stallion TENLIGHT

is in Training and standing at Stud at Jimmie Paul Train-

ing in Scotsdale Az.

About Amanda Somerville

Amanda has a long history with Horse's, she started by

showing in 4-H and open shows as a child and then she

went on to Rodeo in Little Britches and High School.

She has many State Championship wins to her credit.

She also won reserve World Champion Pole Bending

in the APHA.

She was the 2009 AQHA Amateur Reserve World

Champion in Working Cow Horse.

She won the Arizona Reined Cow Horse Non Pro

Futurity on our "Fourth and Ten in 2009.

She has shown in Reining and now has ended 2009 by

winning Nrcha Novice Non Pro Open Bridle, Arizona

Club, Southwest Region, 2 in the World and 1st in the

Nation, in her first year showing Working Cow Horse.

Amanda is the Stallion manager for our Stallion

About Jimmie Paul

Jimmie Paul is a world class trainer, he is the Son of Jim

Paul Sr. a Hall of Fame trainer, and the Brother of Randy

Paul another world class trainer. His Step Mother Demi

Paul is one of the Top Non Pro riders in the nation.

The Paul Family are founding members of the National

Reined Cow Horse Association.

Jimmie has been training horse almost all his life,  he

started training pony's with his brother as a very young

boy and has never looked back.

Jimmie has trained under numerous trainers such as his

father Jim Paul Sr., Don Dodge Hall of Fame member, &

Tony Amerell another Hall of Fame member.

Jimmie was raised in the time of the all around horse,

and has trained and shown in almost all events.

He is a AQHA Professional Horseman, & a AQHA Judge

specializing in Reined Cow horse and Roping.

Jimmie has trained two AQHA Super Horse's and many

World Champion and Reserve World Champion Horse's.

He has helped many youth and Non Pro riders to

winning seasons.

Jimmie is the Father of 3 and Grandfather of 1 grandson.
